INTRODUCTIONIndonesia is currently experiencing considerable economic and social problems related to the disposal of all types of waste, including domestic / household, agricultural, industrial, hazardous and special waste such as that generated by medical / pharmaceutical facilities. In addition many areas are also suffering from a critical shortage of electric power, which is projected to become increasingly large and disruptive in the immediate future. The availability of sufficient quantities of potable water (drinking water) at prices affordable by the lower income population, is also a major cause of concern. using the most advanced state of the art technologies and to the highest social, financial and environmental methods and standards. In the Waste to Energy business there are always a number of technologies / solutions available that can meet the general requirements of each project. One thing that is always required is the expenditure of a considerable amount of money to identify the optimum technology / solution for each project and to subsequently promote, construct and operate the resultant facilities. Unfortunately, in Indonesia the Governmental authorities responsible for the implementation and development of such projects do not have sufficient financial strength to independently implement and realize such projects. Therefore, MSI is required to provide the funds (Project Finance) required to implement, construct and operate such facilities, including the provision and cost of assistance to the local Government as required, in order to upgrade and modernize the equipment and methods used to collect the raw waste and transport it to the location of the waste disposal facilities. MSI is confident that by providing the technical, financial, construction and operating expertise and experience required to provide these Waste to Energy plants, including the Project Finance at no cost to the local municipality / authorities or the Government of Indonesia, MSI can fulfill an important role in helping to alleviate the problems associated with the collection and disposal of waste and help to provide a clean and healthy environment for all, fully supported by the production of green electric power and clean drinking water.
