Area Sales Manager 

You are responsible for the sales of both Mattress Fabrics and Covers in your Area. 
Key responsibilities are: 
  • You act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within the assigned area
  • You identify local business opportunities and challenges
  • You present, recommend and sell products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • You perform cost-benefit and needs analyses of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • You establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • You answer customer questions about features, pricing and other matters
  • You cross-sell products, when appropriate
  • You expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • You supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products
  • You present our products and services to prospective customers
  • You keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • You continuously improve through feedback 
  • You closely work with other internal teams (Design, Customer Service, R&D, Production, Finance) to meet individual and group sales targets
  • You collaborate with sales managers from different regions to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach
  • You grow a commercial network by representing the company on fairs in your region
  • You report to the Sales & Marketing Director

  • Higher Education Degree in business administration, sales or other relevant field
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Manager or similar position in a B2B environment, in textiles or associated relevant field
  • Affinity with textiles, colours and fashion.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Hands-on experience in sales 
  • Team player and service-oriented
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and/or relevant software (e.g. SAP)
  • Willing to travel in Asia for 50% of your time
