Business Development Manager (Packaging) – Pharmaceutical Market
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company with a core focus on manufacturing packaging. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15-20 years’ experience in packaging for the job of Business Development Manager. The job is based in Cikarang, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Report to Country Manager (Indonesia) and Regional Sales Director (India)
- Developed a new market and customer in pharmaceutical
- Achieve the sales target & New Business Development
- Ensure growth in sales as per agreed budgets
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and open a new market as well
- Prospecting to acquire new projects
- Gather market information, including the latest information on existing & future customers
- Negotiating on price, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers.
- Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
- Execute business plan for Drug Delivery System (DDS) segment in Indonesia
- Understand needs of Indonesian Pharma & Biopharma market and how Drug Delivery Systems & technologies can most effectively be leveraged
- Carrying out market analysis for identifying new business opportunities
- Engage client at senior commercial & technical level and maintain key stakeholder relationship throughout
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams within the company
- Keep track of competition activities
- Seek support on order receipt, communication to the client on delivery timelines, shipping documents, sales & pending delivery updates
- To get required support & input to provide necessary details to clients during the project stage
- Influence to decide market strategy & business plan, sales generation, networking, push product & services
- Achieving sales budget as defined in objectives
- Analysis report on Market synthesis, delivery route, products, opportunity (if any), conclusion
- Coordinate with Indonesia Agent appointed by a company to be more effective Customer Oriented services
- Organise WEBEX calls with Regional Sales Director in India responsible for South East Asia Market
- Control on Inventory, Commercial Stock Planning, Sample Stocks Planning with SCM
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Pharmaceutical or any related major from reputable university
- Minimal Bachelor’s degree or Master degree in Management or Marketing or Business from a reputable university
- 15-20 years’ experience field sales and marketing experience and demonstrated levels of performance across varied situations in multinational company
- Primary Packaging industry (Glass vials, Ampoules, PVC Blister, API, Excipients, Rubber / Packaging Films)
- Handling similar Customer database from Pharmaceutical Market
- Knowledge of sales process, specifically in project-related business domain.
- Strong in Presentation Skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Expert in Sales strategy, product development and data tracking
- Good in analytical thinking
- Has a great communication skill to maintain client relationships
- Excellent English communication in both oral and written
- Has experience in flexible packaging / rigid packaging
- Has experience to get a new customer less than six months
- Maintains excellent relationships with clients through superior customer service
- Has experience to analyzing trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve marketing and sales performance
- Willing to be based in Cikarang
