Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company with a core focus on trading – industrial product. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15 years of experience in finance and accounting in a multinational company for the job of Finance Controller. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Direct report to Country Manager (Indonesia) and Managing Director (Singapore)
  • Manage subordinate finance manager, accounting tax staff, purchasing (import), and HR administration
  • Conduct for company treasury management to ensure the safety of liquidation and adequate financing support to fast business growth
  • Frame accounting policies and procedures for the organization and drive conformance to them across the various function
  • Collate, develop and present the annual budget for all departments/functions to make the annual budget of the company, monitor company performance development with the update in the rolling forecast in realistic principle
  • Manage tax planning and ensure tax compliance, to ensure local tax requirements are met
  • Manage external Reporting to meet local GAAP and IFRS and internal reporting to ensure in-time IC reconciliation/dispute settlements
  • Examine proposals for new projects, new business and new ideas from all functions/departments for financial approval, input finance instruction/information in company business plan preparation to ensure the feasibility of the plan
  • Lead risk examinations for all functions and report properly to region/group following group risk management guideline
  • Perform working capital management to ensure quick turn over especially for AR and inventory
  • Ensure that appropriate controls are in place to achieve compliance with internal policy, group, and relevant legislation and regulation
  • Collaborate with the management team to make sure that the entire company is aware of compliance requirements and issues
  • Develop internal controls and policies designed to ensure that all compliance needs are met
  • Identify and review insurance requirements for business, product and service and ensure that appropriate schemes are in place
  • Maintain efficient financial information systems in the organization to enable the management team to take appropriate and timely actions
  • Build internal financial controls within the company and ensure all financial activities are performed in accordance with the financial controls
  • Analyse costs across the organization, implement cost control measures and ensure proper implementation and ensure profitability
  • Manages information technology (IT) and ensure the performance of hardware, software, network and communications links includes telephone, data center, security system and other electronic infrastructure
  • Maintain SAP systems and application, supporting users for SAP application and ensure SAP is applied in entire business process and financial activities, lead the optimization of accounting/reporting process in SAP following group guideline

Job Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with at least 15 years’ experience in finance and accounting, in multinational company
  • Recognized professional qualification (qualified accountant)
  • Experienced in managing Accounting, Tax, Finance, and IT team
  • Familiar with SAP system and application
  • Fluent in English both oral and written
  • Understand business circumstances in Indonesia
  • Strong understanding in relevant legislation and regulation in Indonesia
  • Strong experience in import process (purchasing) and trading
  • Good leadership and developing others
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong time management / strong ability to manage to deadlines
  • Good knowledge on crisis management principles
  • Good problem-solving approach
  • Effective relationship management and communication skills
  • Able to give and receive feedback, effective communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, effective presentation skills
