Jaya Ponsel Department Stores in Indonesia operates 4 stores in Medan. The first Jaya Ponsel store opened in 1999 at Milenium Plaza catering to the needs of the residents of the exclusive Milenium and surrounding residential districts. With the success of Jaya Ponsel Milenium, the second store at Sun Plaza opened in 2001 bringing another Jaya Ponsel to the central business district and the posh central residential areas. In October 2003, a third store followed in Medan, at the newest and largest shopping mall, Medan Fair, bringing shopping to another level for the population of Medan. The latest addition to the group was added in February 2006 at Mal Grand Palladium, giving access to Jaya Ponsel customers living in Sumatera.
