A To provide local farmers with a better chance to fight the high mortality rate of their corn plants. JHS initiated intensive research activities and studies related to the production of new superior breeds of hybrid corn seeds that are custom-made for the tropical agricultural conditions in the Indonesai as well as in other tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. These research activities started 1989 and were eventually expanded to the production, marketing and distribution of superior hybrid corn seeds. In 2002 production facilities were established in Jember, East Java Indonesia. JHS now employs hundreds of workers assigned to its different operating areas, scattered all over the Philippines and Indonesia. JHS I is proud of its capability to provide high yield to corn growers in the Indonesia and elsewhere in the world.
